Our mission is to distribute and archive works of time-based art. Each issue highlights artists working in new or experimental media, whose works are best documented in video or sound.
Henry Kaufman
Henry Kaufman brings his broad experience in computer-graphics and technology-based exhibits as well as an eclectic variety of non-technical interests to his production of interactive art. As Director of Engineering at Nearlife, Inc., he lead the creation of several award-winning interactive exhibits at major locations including the Museum of Science in Boston, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the London Millennium Dome, and the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Henry managed the Computer Graphics research and development team at R/Greenberg Associates in New York where he helped produce special effects for award-winning commercials. He has played major roles in production settings in Italy and Israel as well. Henry researched fractal growth physics at Yale University with Dr. Benoit Mandelbrot, and has published in physics, computer graphics and interaction journals. Aside from technology-oriented work, Henry is a glass blower and performs regularly as a drummer with a Haitian dance ensemble. He received a double B.A. with honors in Visual Arts and Computer Science and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Brown University.
